Ghana Football Association Executive Council elections candidate Madam Evelyn Nsiah Asare has revealed how she led campaign to save Ghana’s Black Queens and Black Princesses from a financial trauma before a major tournament.
The sports marketing and brands guru is in the race for a slot to be on the next Ghana FA ExCo and she has been touting her credentials ahead of the pools.
Nsiah, a former team manager of Ghana’s senior female national team – the Black Queens, has risen through the ranks starting as an athlete to reach the heights of a football administrator.
“I was once listening to a sports show and I heard that the Black Queens and Black Princesses had to leave camp and go home the reason being that they don’t have money to continue with preparations. So I contacted my chairman and he asked what I can do for the team and I had to move from Sunyani to Kumasi to Accra and within three weeks – one month I was able to raise GHS300,000 to support the team,” she revealed in an exclusive interview with Ghana Sports.
