Surrey Police have confirmed a giant inflatable slide has collapsed in Woking Park.
“We are working with ambulance and emergency service colleagues.”, officers confirmed in a statement.
A spokesperson said the emergency services are treating six children for “potentially serious injuries”.
Roughly 12,000 people were due to attend this evening’s event but the display is no longer going ahead.
The ambulance service were called at 7.30pm to reports of an inflatable structure collapsing.
An air ambulance is on the scene.
A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service, said: “We currently have multiple crews on scene at a significant incident in Woking Park.”
Organisers of the event said in a statement: “Really sorry but due to a major incident in the funfair area the police have asked us to evacuate the park.
“The fireworks display will therefore not take place tonight.
“We will publish further information as soon as possible.”
