The Women’s Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)in Eastern Regional, Shirley Naana Ampem, has asked female colleagues who intend to contest for any position during the party’s internal elections to stop making negative comments about others.
According to her, the internal election is a family affair, so everyone who wants to participate in the event must see themselves as members of the same family.
Mrs Ampem made the call on Sunday when the new Deputy Juaben North Constituency Women Organizer, Hajia Nimatu Kumatu Mustapha, organized a Sallah party for female party members in Jumapu.
He said the NDC is a democratic political institution because everyone in the party, especially women, has the right to run for any position they choose.
Negative words
He explained that because political parties are human institutions, there must be differences among members. “Sometimes, many of us talk about ourselves badly, just to get votes in internal elections, which is not good for us or for the party as a whole. So we have to avoid that,” said the organizer.
“If we bury our differences, it will be easier to unseat the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the December 2024 polls,” Madam Ampem said.
“Tell the delegates what you can really do to bring the NDC back to power, convince the delegates beyond doubt of the things you are bringing to encourage them to vote for you in the coming elections. Apart from wasting your colleagues for votes,” Ampem told all the aspirants .
Change
He urged the organizers to work hard to ensure the victory of the NDC in the 2024 polls and win the New Juaben North Constituency seat.
Mrs. Ampem stressed that unity, cohesion and understanding will bring the NDC back to power.
The Eastern Regional Vice Chairman in charge of Administration of the NDC, George Mensah Akpalu, said the campaign for the 2024 general elections had just started and therefore called on the rank and file of the party to spread good news to the intended party. to bring economic aid to Ghanaians.
The Chairman of New Juaben North of the NDC, Alhaji Nasiru Abdul Rahman appealed to the leadership of the party to work responsibly and with confidence on the goals and objectives of the NDC around the December 2024 elections for victory.
“The time has come for the NDC to take over the parliamentary seat in New Juaben North Constituency because JE has occupied the seat since 1996 but there has been no development in the constituency,” he said.
