    Government has released GHS 57 million food subsidy for universities

    Government has released GHS 57,460,000 as food subsidy to 46 colleges across the country.

    Part of the money is also the provision of student allowances.

    The Ministry of Education said in a statement that it is committed to supporting and maintaining quality education.

    “The Government of Ghana through the Ministry of Education has released the sum of GH¢57,460,000.00 to cover food grants and student allowances for 46 universities in Ghana.”

    “The Ministry hereby reaffirms its commitment to provide adequate resources and cooperation with all institutions under its purview in the pursuit of improving and sustaining quality education in Ghana,” the statement read.
